Birthday boy bag

With 3 boys now in school, they go to a lot of birthday parties. It's getting rather expensive. I've strengthened my resolve to make more gifts.


This is a book bag for a soon-to-be 6-year-old.



I had the navy blue body and pale blue gingham lining cut out and sewn, sitting unfinished forever.


I added an iron-on of our dog Alice, matching gingham trim, black buttons and a string of beads with the birthday boy's name.


I then added handles and some ric-rac trim and finished by sewing the body and lining together.

Up next, a present for a tomboyish 14yo girl. Hmmmmm.
