On my to-do list yesterday was driving my oldest up and over the mountain to catch a carpool ride to band practice. What a perfect day to stop at the beach there.
Pictures of how the kids enjoyed the waterfront over here.
If you know what the butterflies are, leave a comment and I'll draw a winning name for a giveaway -- a trio of butterfly prints, including two I took last fall.
Oh, and I'll print up some flower photos for whomever can identify the flowers up in my banner.

I will say the flowers are lady slippers. You were near my neck of the woods yesterday, I recognize the photos!

!!Where the heck have I been?!
Hang on. I'll be right back. Pulled in 4 directions, but I want to visit soon....
Well, normally I would Google the butterflies (who says I am obsessed with being correct? Who?!) OKay... I am going to guess Swallowtail, because other than Monarch, it's the prettiest butterfly name I can think of! Your photographs are beautiful, and I linked to you today.
Some kind of Swallowtail? Emily says Oregon Old World Swallowtail, but I don't know. We would love these - Emily loves butterflies!
Thank you for having a giveaway - all the photos are beautiful!
The butterflys are tiger swallow tails according to my 13year old bug expert. :) The pictures are beautiful by the way. I like reading your blog also.
The flowers look like Columbine but I'm not 100% sure. Beautiful topper though. The butterflies look like Swallowtails I think. What gorgeous pics!
