Little bit of love

I've been doing a little bit of evening crafting for the month of love that is now upon us. Sweet little red, white and black Valentine's projects created from a combination of new and old.

First up, what I like to call Little Miss Muffet's Heart-shaped Tuffet.

A little puff of white bedspread, surrounded by white fringe and unique red trim and topped with two buttons.

All atop a red spool encircled with a bit of rose-covered ribbon.

Once I realized you can make heart-shaped yo-yo's, I couldn't stop myself.

I added them to the last of the red trim from the heart-shaped pincushion and strung them on the front door.

Added a few vintage postcards to round out the vignette.

More yo-yo hearts added to clearance felt frames from the craft store.

And filled with 1970s-era kids' Valentine's.

Awhile back I read about how big a decorating holiday Valentine's Day is and laughed. Who decorates for Valentine's? Apparently, I do now.

I love your gingham heart yo-yos! What a great idea, a valentines day garland! Yay!

I have a thing for gingham lately, and not just the red you see here. I've been collecting little remnants in different colors and plan on using them with floral pillowcases in a variety of projects.
