Five months after visiting the alpaca farm and buying this yarn, I'm finally using it. It took me that long to figure out a special enough project for it, a granny square scarf. I was inspired to pull it out because of the outing we went on today-- the Washington County (NY) Fiber Tour.
This little guy led the way to his fellow furry critters. He was one of the many Mother's Day gifts I woke to this morning. And perfect for our journey.
We had to stop for breakfast first at Rathbun's Maple Sugar House. Then it was on to 4 of the 14 farms on the tour to see alpacas, llamas, sheep and chickens. Over the next few days, I'll share more photos and stories of the friendly hobby farmers and artisans we met.
