It feels like fall here in northeastern NY. After watching my son play drums and my niece play bagpipes to kick of the local JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes this morning, I worked on some of my photographs from Scotland. I started with ones of the rainy competition days. The weather here today is very reminiscent of those days.

I think it's so interesting that your niece plays the bagpipes and that your whole family seems to be so musically inclined! And furthermore, I love Scotland. I had a few friends travel there to study a couple semesters ago and all had an awesome time. Their stories and pictures have made me really interested in Scottish culture. I live in Memphis, and every fall (around October time) all of the Presbyterian churches gather together for this huge Scottish festival and I actually got the opportunity to volunteer during it this past year. It was so much fun. I love Scottish music and food and I even got to learn a Scottish dance! If you and your family are ever looking for anything to do during the fall you should totally come down for the festival!
