Outdoors in

The main reason we drove to Vermont las weekend was to bring the family boat to my sister-in-law's for the winter. Better to negotiated the 45 minute drive than the family camp's steep lakeside driveway.

As dh hooked the trailer up to the van, the kids and I went exploring, with camera in hand of course. They found two wild turkey feathers and I found winter berries. To think I almost bought a wreath of them at a craft show a few weeks ago for a gagillion dollars.

I borrowed dh's pocket knife, and much to his chagrin, I brought some home. Combined with a few more feathers, we have a nice autumn still life in our living room. And the cost was free.
