Drawing progress

My idea of making each of the boys a travel journal has inspired quite a bit of creativity around here. While we reserve thebooks for when we are actually on the road, the boys are drawing more in general. Great for their fine motor skills development since they inherited Dad's handwriting ability -- messy as it is.

While my artistic side would prefer they draw things found in nature, they choose to draw things from movies and television. I guess it's OK. My brother and I spent a lot of time drawing Snoopy characters as kids and it didn't hinder my creativity.

It was a big Spidey weekend in our house. Here are two versions of Spiderman and his arch enemy Doc Ock, one by the 5yo and the other by the 8yo.
