Done in the nick of time

I did! I made my self-imposed deadline
with my latest ripple/chevron baby blanket.

While I started crocheting lakeside,
I finished most of it poolside at the hotel
where my boys attended band camp.

Everyone came to expect me to have a flying crochet hook
in my hand whenever they saw me sitting
and wondered on the last day if I was done with it.

I was happy to finish the last few rows
in the comfort of air conditioning.
We had a mini heatwave here in upstate New York
and it just wasn't conducive to crocheting a blanket.

Very sweet! I don't think I could crochet an afghan in the July heat of Texas, inside or out! It's been 100 plus forever!
