I pledge...

  • ... that I shall abstain from the purchase of "new" manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 4 months. I pledge that i shall refashion, renovate, recycle preloved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovated, recylcled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, so that others may share the joy that thy thriftyness brings! Signed Julie.
I made this vow over at Wardrobe Refashion a few weeks ago and have held up my end of the bargain. Not that it is overly difficult for me to refrain from buying new clothes. Added benefit is that this blog, and all the other ones I've been reading lately, have inspired me to be more crafty. To the detriment of the state of my house though.

I first posted there about my butterfly skirt and then about these pillowcase dresses I made last week. One of my nieces is the new owner of the long white one. I have someone in mind for the blue floral one with matching apron.

Next up for my wardrobe refashions are more pillowcase dresses, camisole tops for older nieces, a few tote bags and at least one more skirt for me.
